| For exceptional service while assigned as Representative to the Bloody April III Community-wide Tournament for RFC No.42 Squadron, NavyJake did distinguish himself by the following citation:
NavyJake took the assignment as Representative to the Bloody April III hosts and Entente Commanders. In the space of one month, 12 missions were planned and flown leading ultimately to an Entente victory over the Central Powers' forces. NavyJake participated in numerous meetings designed to establish the rules and ensure their fairness. He also monitored hundreds of messages during the course of the tournament, sifting through the data and disseminating the necessary information to the pilots of No.42 Squadron. NavyJake organized No.42's pilots and reported our readiness weekly to the Command Staff of the Entente Forces. NavyJake also participated in many missions, flying as observer and Flight Leader. The success of missions organized by NavyJake are well documented and lauded. Concurrent with the Bloody April battles, NavyJake also made certain that the squad training arena (the squad server) was always operational and running maps that were conducive to training in the battles the squadron was fighting in.
NavyJake's unrelenting devotion to duty is in keeping with the finest traditions of military service and reflects credit upon himself, his unit, and the Royal Flying Corps.
As the Commanding Officer of the No.42_Squadron, I commend you for your efforts and in recognition from a sincerely grateful command staff and the pilots of the No.42_Squadron award you the Distinguished Service Order.
