For meritorious service while assigned to Green Flight in RFC No.42 Squadron, Stubby14 did support squad operations by the following citation:

While in combat operations against the enemy, Stubby14's skill as a element and flight leader was demonstrated many times in his ability to direct ground attack missions throughout the FiF mini-campaign. Stubby14's battlefield leadership was instrumental in Green Flight's ability to complete the missions necessary to give Squadron 42 good position in the final battle, and ultimately No.42's victory. Stubby14 also performed to a high degree of excellence in the task of destroying enemy targets throughout the campaign, and of artillery emplacements in the final battle. His performance of duty reflects great credit upon himself, No.42 Squadron and the British Empire.

As the Commanding Officer of the No.42_Squadron, I commend you for your efforts and in recognition from a sincerely grateful command staff and the pilots of the No.42_Squadron award you the Distinguished Flying Cross.
