If strafing or bombing artillery guns is what your after than you can quickly get that with QMB. I've found the guns seem to take as much damage as other vehicles to blow them up. Of course attacking them from behind increases the chance of hits because you don't have a defensive berm in the way.

DH4's with 4xforward firing MG's will shred those guns pretty well...but you give up maneuverability a bit.

Flat,I'd like to put you as scout in a spad, then into the 3rd bomber if needed. Stay alive unless you can affect the mission significantly.

I am not finding our guns to be worth a shit against the arty, but the 20lb bombs make em into scrap easy enough. I was double-tapping them and killing every time, so that counts up to 6 guns for each DH4 we put up.
