Gents,

Here's a start for Response curves:

Response Curves - You are downloading from my site...but always scan for virus!

FYI, I have found responses to be very very Joystick specific so don't be disappointed if these don't work for you.

The best thing is that we share among ourselves.

Example, If you need CH Pro curves I have them!

Your response curves are located in: Main ROF Game Folder/data/input/

You may see fokkerd7.responses or fokkerd7.edit.responses

Just a thought on the response curves. If you're using an S shaped curve then keep in mind the ramifications of this. You'll have less sensitivity at the center range and more sensitivity at the outer range. It's just trading sensitivity from one place to another. Therefore, if you find that your plane is difficult to control in best turn or stall type situations where you're pulling heavily on the stick then your response curve might be making it harder for you.

S!

Excellent point!

Again, response curves are sooo varied between controllers. My CH stuff needs a bunch. The 'S' curve is generally a good choice for the Rudder but not much else. Notice how I also have a 'flat spot' around center to help remove the twitchyness when firing the guns!

A big thing pilots is to insure that when you input 100% with your controller that the plane receives 100% response. Example...even though my Throttle is totally calibrated it's input to the game is only 82%...go figure. I use the response curve to adjust so that when my throttle goes to 100% the plane receives 100% input.....not 82%

Response Curves N_11%20Yaw

Response Curves N_11%20Throttle

As you can see above, an S-curve would be no good for the throttle. Here's how I adjusted the input vs. output to insure that 100% input = 100% output. If you have this wrong your plane will always fly....slower!

Best luck to all here. I will help when I can but if you don't have CH Pro stuff then there's little I can do for you!
