Very, very cool. I've been reading up on this over at the SimHQ forums as well and so far people are saying wow! How do the flight physics feel to you? How about the sounds?

Can you link to the airframe buy-in plan?
How many are initially provided and what does it cost to add planes?

Can the photos be zipped into a tidy, easy to ignore bundle? ;)

Yes the graphics are better then clod. I'm running this game on a laptop so they may not be the best but it runs better and looks better then clod. Objects are very clear at distance as well and very distinguishable, unlike clod when you zoom to look at objects they look like crap. Flight physics are very good at the moment, the lagg3 flies like crap like its suppose to. You get the same feel of flight just like ROF. Sounds are great. Opening and closing the canopy changes the sound around you just like you would expect.  YES THERE ARE MANY BUGS AND FLIGHT MODEL ISSUES. But you gotta remember its early release, very early release. This "demo" doesn't have a lot of things. On the other hand this game is great and will be awesome. Every addition from here on will make this game even greater.


There are 10 planes at the moment. This week is the lagg 3 and next week we should have the bf 109f4. AI fighting the week after that and so on. Bugs and disabled features will be addressed with each update as well. But I think by xmas we should be fighting some sweeeeeeet dogfights.

I didn't see this question answered yet. From the pics, I would say no they aren't. It takes only a small MOD added to the IL-2 jsgmemods folder to have graphics like exhaust and flame from the engine.

Interested in all Flight Sims but it needs to be better than Il-2 before I spend the bucks. Flight models in the HSFX mod, and specifically in the HSFX (Expert) mode are awfully good.

Hard to tell in snow. The cockpit is pretty nice though, better than IL2.

The project is still at 32% complete... long way to go, so I am pretty sure it will get better. One great thing about this project is it is the same company as ROF so all newly found tech can or will be applied to ROF.

I think they are using the same GFX engine from ROF.

Flames do come out of the engine on start up. It is early yet, but I am liking it. This Squad will always be my first flightsim to fly.
