Award: Meritorious Unit (Flight) Commendation - Red Flight

For exceptional meritorious conduct during the FiF XVI Cambrai Campaign vs the German forces of JG1 and Black Haze Squadrons. No.42 Squadron's Red Flight, led by Rooster, directly supported combat operations over the front lines repeatedly -- resulting in high enemy casualties as well as consistently supporting other flights by bolstering lost numbers and escorting recon/bomber flights over the line. Red Flight's outstanding and unwavering devotion to this mission is amplified by their superior performance of the exceptionally difficult tasks assigned them every day of the battle. Red Flight's superior performance sets a benchmark for all flights to achieve.
