| Well after many months away Trout has returned to the vaunted No. 42 squadron. After many attempts and heaps of frustration a technical problem is preventing me from being a target drone so my commrades can get on the Bosche's six. Ug... Seems I can get the first flight of the night in no problem. pick a plane, take off, shoot, die, crash. But EVERY time after that cycle my game crashes. As soon as I click Fly on the second flight of the night I get a "RoF.exe stopped working - Windows is looking for a solution" error message. I have to click ok and goes to desktop. Reload RoF, reload the mission to get into server. Every time after my first flight. I can't play like this. I've tried on several servers but always the same. I've tried switching airbases and/or switching aircraft after the first flight, but to no avail. EVERY SINGLE TIME on my second go around the game crashes. Thoughts? | |

| Have you considered uninstalling the game and re-installing?
It almost sounds to me like something has gotten corrupt in your game Dir. Or perhaps one of the dependencies.
Upgrade your video driver, run windows updates. I think there is a .net or VB dependency in ROF and one of those libraries could have got corrupt.
What OS are you running?

| 1. Have you done a "recovery" from the RoF launcher yet? (and, of course, say yes to let it do all the DirectX stuff)?
2. Are you running with "mods on" checked in the launcher? If so, untick that box and try again and see if you still have the problem NO MODS.

| ATI card? Turn off super sampling and also off Vertical syncronization and set FPS limit to 60.

| Hey. Thanks for the replies guys. Been very biusy at work since last week. We got hit by a big snow storm and locked the city lol. Then my g/f comes over on weekends (only time I see her) so no way I'm sitting in front of a computer then.
CobraJ, great to see you again bud. Yes I did a "recovery" from the launcher and let it do its thing. I hope to get online tonite to see if this fixed it.
