| So yesterday started having connection problems. Called the tech at my provider and it seems they had some setting or other wrong and he changed it. Now the router is not working right. If I plug it in Cait gets it in the back room but I get no connection on this machine. Apparently I'm not bright enough to figure this out on my own, so any suggestions are appreciated! | |

| Hey Space I can probably help you but I would need a lot more information, if I am reading this right you have limited connectivity. If there is any way you can get on TS early or if that's not do able I'll PM you my home number.
One thing you might want to try if you haven't is to unplug all your network gear and wait about 1 minute then power everything back up starting with the device that sits closest to the internet provider. Generally this will be the modem/router they provided you. Then after that's up power any additional devices you might have, switches routers firewall etc.

| Thanks Hawg! I will try to be on early this evening, but have to go to the airport in Portland to pick up a friend that is moving back so will depend on that happening on time.
Yes limited connectivity. I can either get signal to this machine by coming direct from the modem, or get wireless signal in the back but none here if I go through the wireless router. When I got this machine it just worked, so was hoping that would hold true.
Have tried unplugging and restarting everything, to no avail. Will try it again with longer wait time and see what happens.

| Sounds like wireless router is junk. I had this issue and bought a new DoSIS 3 wireless modem but ended up being a bad wireless router.
Hawg is the man for this though, good luck!

Okay, I know I'm at risk of being called juvenile...but this strikes my funny bone! Sorry, I too think that's a riot!! Had a softball meeting which turned into dinner at Applebee's. I just walked in the door at 8:50 10:50 EDT. Wished I could have been here... XO

| Hmm.. when I am connected direct it says Home Network which is what it should say, I think.
When I go through the modem and wireless router then to my machine, it says Unidentified Network and my machine doesn't like it.
Will be on and off TS all day tomorrow, and on tomorrow afternoon/evening, call Hawg after he gets off work if I can't figure anything out before.
