Guys,
First from an email I received today
69 years ago today, a Christmas story
Dear fellow WWII History reader,
On this day in history, a Christmas miracle took place.
Just four days before Christmas 1943, in the darkest hours of World War II, two enemies met in the skies over Germany. One was a German pilot named Franz Stigler. The other was an American pilot named Charlie Brown. What occurred next had never happened before and hasn't happened since.
They chose not to kill one another.
Even more amazing, in 1990, Charlie and Franz reunited and became best friends. In the spirit of today's anniversary, we invite you to watch a video of this heart-warming Christmas story:
Please share this video with your friends and join us in saluting these brave men. The lesson they left us is one our world needs now, more than ever.
If this story moves you, please discover the lives of Franz and Charlie in my new book, A Higher Call, now available on Amazon.com and from bookstores nationwide.
With thanks,
Adam Makos
author of A Higher Call
