| A few of you know that I have built several home cockpits over the years. The last one got munched by termites through my own stupidity. I am just about done with the latest version. Here are a few pics for your enjoyment. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] | |

| That's snazzy Hawg!
I've talked to Propnut again about my idea. I'm modifying it from a two-seater to a single seat Triplane cockpit with partial wings as shelving units. It's da bomb...in my head...

| S!
Drooool...
Nice!
So how many of those buttons and dials are assignable?
I know your not done with it because putting that much time, effort, and money into it you've GOT TO install 3 screens.
I was about to say; "What! you forgot the cup holder!" But nope, it's there.

| All the buttons work and have a purpose a variety of different sims. I fly FSX, A-10 BMS IL2 and of course RoF. I use as GammaRay256 board that lets me program the switches as I see fit. If the board goes I will have to find something else tho since they don't make them any more!! To bad really its an awesome board with great software. I considered 3 screens, projectors, just about everything you can think of for a very long time and came to the conclusion it just wasn't worth it. One large one is better for me and what I play. That is until they come out with something like this for the general public; [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]I have a 39" HD TV that I sometimes use but of course it will only do 1920x1080 and its not as sharp as my Dell :) Here is a pic with the 39" running. | He has a monitor behind that panel powered by a laptop.
It's not used in RoF so it looks like his cockpit was stripped.
I told him not to park the plane at that Hun drome. Bastages will still you blind, knife you in the back, and take your toddlers Halloween candy. Oh yeah, and they only go to church to rob the offering plate.

| You could always buy one of those spinning wind speed thingys and stick it on the bookshelf. ... got any family, friends, or relatives that would be good for blowing on it. A good windbag can be useful to have around now... | |

| Well its really hard to say since I acquired a lot of the stuff over a period of time. If you are talking about just the materials that went into the pit itself switches wiring and the control board that ties it all together probably about $500-750.
The PC, Warthog HOTAS, MFD, Pedals, TV/monitor etc. is about another $2500-3000 but anyone that is doing this would probably already have all that junk.
95% of what you see was purchased at Home Depot.
