| Gentlemen, here is the opportunity to make your likes and dislikes known about the tourney we have been conducting with the JG1.
Flatspin and I are having a meeting today with Butzell and Klaiber to go over the future of this tourney, propose changes, etc. We are being asked to help develop this tourney for wider involvement and should take this to heart. I think it is a good format, and one we will continue to enjoy, but if we really want to make it ours we need to be active in development.
Please list anything good or bad about it, changes you'd like to see, etc and we will present those.

| FIF. Likes: Easy registration Flying as a squad Diversity of targets Difficulty of hidden targets Mods allowed Good aircraft choice Realistic weather patterns Fuel levels workable High level of excitement Good consistent rules
Dislikes: Scoring a little hard to comprehend. Early victory leading to later mission changes should be explained better
Notes for BAIII. ALL OF THE ABOVE ARE DISLIKES

| The negatives that really stick out are that first they had more capable fighters in that they went after most of their targets with fighters, and our fighters would be at a disadvantage in that they have less fire power to attack targets with. Secondly is the difference in target spread we noted. | |

| So as I see this, no reason to go for German tanks. Guns and protecting our tanks are only two ways to victory. | |

| I personally don't like artificial limiting of the plane's abilities, so I don't like the fact that Spad's can't take bombs. | |

| There are no German tanks. We are assaulting, they are defending. They will be attacking our tanks and preventing us from attacking their artillery...and dying at the hands of our fighters for course! | |

| Bloody April has potential but it is far too diverse within the flights groups for me. squads should be making flights or occupying airfields instead of the mixed bag they have now,of course it is basically a European game and and they don't give crap about others in their flight group. seems to me last year they had 2-seaters from the same airfield as the scouts so they could be on the same ts channel.the two seater guys may have a comment of this
as for FIF the one thing that had me confused was the scoring system and I would like to see some kind recognition for air victories.one thing I like with the BA system where on screen credits are not viewable whether it is for bombing ,reccy or air kills.this adds some realism to the game in my view I would like to see this in FIF big time

| Ban turbulence period!
Limit wind to 1 m/s when there are scattered cumulus, and have severe clear weather in some of the missions. After all were not at war with the weather and the idea is to have fun.
If people are having the weather bug then lets have a fly off contest involving skunky weather.

The whole thing about FiF is that everything before the final battle is preliminary and has effect on the final battle. The rules do not explain this well, but that will change. Each mission accomplished means less of the other guy's stuff in the final battle, so more of a chance for final victory, which is the only one that counts. This will be much better explained in the next round, and the effects of each mission will be described. It will likely never feature air-to-air kill tallies as this is not a completed mission, although air victories conribute to the score by allowing the 2-seater mission to succeed.

| Maybe we could have a dynamic news broadcast, highlighting the air kills, WE NEED RECOGNITION DAMN IT!!!
For my part I would just ditto everything that has been said up to now.
I think the JG1 campaign has been pretty fair and balanced I mean look at the score!
I think this FiF thing is pretty solid and I like the idea of all of the missions contributing to the final mission.

| We have medals for official mission acts of valor. Many of them can be recommended by anyone, some by flight leaders. If you see a Hollywood-boy shoot a plane down saving your (or someone else's) bacon, put them in for a medal! We'll have a fancy ceremony and everything! H'ors D'euvres served after of course. | |

| My two cents, I have no issues with FiF, rules to me were clear, but that might just be me.... - Quote :

I disagree. I think we fly too often with mild weather on all the servers. Hence the reason that in one of the COOP missions all the Albs crashed on take-off. Check the wind, if anyone thinks that WWI was flown on only beautiful weather, good luck with that thought. I’ll show you my modern day log book, lots of crappy weather, take off into the wind and the plane handles fine, heck that is what wind socks are for. BA3 has some bad points I do agree, but then like FiF it isn’t an individual tournament, and we can’t really die, yes a multi-national is an issue, but also a blast in my opinion. If the squadron prefers squadron on squadron tournaments, then that is what we hold (FiF), or fly more COOP missions, I have 5 ready to go and can eventually modify them to provide Green flight more bombing targets. | I think the major problems with BA3 are;
1) The rules and limitations designed to give the Germans and advantage.
2) The organization of the Entente flights just stinks.

1. That maybe but look at the results, we are kicking the crap out of them, a reverse BA 2. Yes and that was pointed out in the beginning, that this has always been an issue, but then I refer back to #1. I guess the Entente Pilots are just better.

S!
I think FIF will be better for us than BA if we can keep it to as few squads as possible running 35 players each side as BA does now. A north american time zone war in the middle of the week would be great I wish I had the time to help set it up,I feel guilty making suggestions and not doing some grunt work. in BA it was interesting to sit in a flight with other nationalities but the miscommunications was getting old very fast
