Lexx, looks like some glitch.. JG1 is checking into it as the same happened to them.

Not exactly the same thing...they got the message "photos taken" the second time but did not return to base in time. We didn't get the message the second time from what I understand.

Good question. Have been working on a bid for a huge job this last week or 10 days so been a little out of it. Will get something out later this morning (PDT).

Late response to Awde: AAR's are encouraged, but not required for this tournament. bloody April is another story...AAR's will be required for that.

Harder to make plans when we don't know what targets come up until the game starts.

We might want to go with what we had last week for the initial recons, split red between the bombers and the recons. Bombers should focus on the train and convoy to set us up for the last mission, keep track of all others so we can revisit after the primaries are down.

I'd consider splitting Blue into 2-plane elements- 1 to guard the southern approach, another to search out our HQ, convoy and train that the hun will be trying for. Their approach in this tourney it to take out all of our trains and convoys so we have nothing left in the last mission. Might even put all but a single blue in the search and leave that loner watching the gap from on high.

Should we make a separate thread for this mission tonight? I'm in by the way.

Judging from past experience JG1 seems to be doing a zone defense and no less than 4 planes in on escort. Every engagement started with us vs 2 of them and with in a couple minutes there were 1-2 more in the fight.

I would say if your planning on intercepting their 2 seaters and dealing with escorts you will need a minimum of 4 planes or the ability to vector help to your location in a timely manner. I like the scouting idea and I would say that's a perfect job for a single SPAD or a pair at most.

If they are focusing on the trains and convoys maybe we should spend the first hour heavy on defense. Zed and Stub can sortie our in 2 seaters and take out as many targets as possible then at the top of the 2nd hour we can send the rest of the 2 seaters to mop up targets.

Since they seem to prefer using fighter to take out the trains and trucks if we manage to intercept their JABO flight (and destroy them), it will cut down the number of planes they have to defend in the 2nd hour.

I'm out in Texas, sorry SS didn't mean to disturb you’re your state, but someone had too.

FYI: Pup it a dog at altitude with the fuel load. JG1 came in at 7K plus and the Alb’s ate my lunch. Awde through superb airmanship survived and recorded kills, but getting to their 2 seater was impossible through 6 Albs.

Good Luck tonight and make the Huns pay a high price.

Salute

Navy,

I live in Collin county. That's on the north side of Dallas County. But if your passage through leaves no extra time I understand.
