Salute, Awde!

Used to do a lot of il-2, but the tourney we were in changed to BoS and we did not all make that change. Let me know if you get it hooked up and I will definately fly with you.

Looks like this group might be dead as far as RoF goes. Hard to even get up enough enthusiasm to welcome the newcomers. Sad

salute Space

I just updated game to see if it would even work and I can't get it running even though FAQ says server runs Friday to Monday
tried offline and it then says game is not updated nad it won't let me even try to do that either.
so in kind of a limbo right now but I'll sure let you know if I can get things together here, but now yesterday evening a death in the family will put things on hold for a while

There are versions and patches and whatnot that are particular to each server, which is part of what really killed il-2.

I think ours are the AVG is patched to 4.12.1, but haven't flown that for so long I don't remember. (Am theoretically the AVG Group Commander still, so have all the keys to liquor cabinet, nurses lounge, etc) Will check with Tiger and see what our server is set at now, and if it is still up and running.

Used to sponsor tourneys that were 24/7 for a week. Dynamic campaign generator updated the game as certain conditions were fulfilled each 2-hour block. The one I particularly liked was the Save The Arizona mission... Dec. 7, 1941... Pearl Harbor... about 8:30...

We also had a carrier landing challenge with another squad that was totally over the top crazy! 6 pilots, 3 carriers in a line 5 miles apart. Get all pilots on the deck of the last carrier, alive, before the other guys. Still have that mission file too...

We are blessed to have the greatest modder in our squad. Fireball who made Wind, Cat mod, and many others. We use a rescue mod and carrier lights mod too.

We are moving to DCS now with P-51, F-86 and A7. F-18 will be out next and we can't wait. Getting our feet wet in the sim to understand it well before our carrier birds come out. come fly!
