Both the CO, No.42_Flatspin, and I have an open door policy. I doubt that there will be anything that Zed can't help you with. Should there be, we are available via email or PM to be all the help that we can be.

PINK!

Salute Vengeance, it is Time to move up to the “Pink”

As the squadron induction officer I am assigned the auspicious duties of welcome and orientation of Recruits to the squad. This means I provide the Recruit uniform, Recruit toothbrush, and Recruit signatory being issued to you and direct you to your Recruit physical.

Now, here is your signatory which you will apply as your forum signature.   What you use as an avatar is your own business, but the signature image below needs to be placed in your forum signature. This is the “Putting on the Pink”  You may also change your name to No.42_Vengeance  both in the forums and when flying online, or whatever handle you decide upon as long as No.42_ is the beginning.  You will also want to check out the Squadron code of conduct and attach your signature to that documentation (you will see it when given full access to the forums)



Now this should get you “Tickled Pink”
This is your Recruit uniform. Of course we expect you to wear it proudly at all times for the full duration of your Recruit status. TAKE GOOD CARE OF THIS UNIFORM! We have a limited supply. Nobody likes robbing those little girls and leaving them out in the cold, naked. Our last volunteer for this job is still undergoing grief counseling and serving 10 years. Turned out there was a reward for turning him in and the counseling was getting way too expensive. We now have an inside connection to getting license plates though. BUT if you do directly or indirectly, allow your Recruit uniform to become irreparably damaged or defaced in any way we have an alternate uniform to punish you with. Some of our low flying bombers  (Stubby) has inadvertently (or so they say) returned with clotheslines of "ladies unmentionables" wrapped around various parts of their aircraft. Since there are plenty of pink opaque items we can get our alternate uniforms that we issue from this supply. The rest we gift to nurse Ralph to keep her happy.  As a bomber pilot, this will probably not stay in your closet once your uniform has been given, unlike some bicycle riders closets....



Then there is the “Pink Slip”
Take good care of your toothbrush. It has been through the induction of many Recruits and is expected to serve the induction of many more. Wise man once said it is best not to ask what one does not wish to know. One does not wish to know the past of the Recruit toothbrush. This toothbrush must be used for your personal oral hygiene during the Recruit phase, also you will be expected to employ it to degrease engine parts, and cleaning the little hard-to-reach nooks in the latrine behind the Officer's Mess. You must carry the Recruit toothbrush at all times. Any squad member may ask to see it at any time, without it you may be given the Pink Slip.

Finally, about your physical, being “In the Pink”

Your physical will be over when our sweet, 86 years young, 315lb, 4'7" nurse Ralph retrieves her gloves from the dry ice and performs the hernia check with a vice like grip that wont release until she has sung in it's entirety God Save the King.
(Note: The word "Sung" is loosely applied here.)
And she WILL expect you to remain at attention the whole time and “In the Pink”
Around here we do not cross nurse Ralph. She showed up one day and informed us she would take over this task. Since both Entente and Central forces conduct the war only if she gives them permission to do so, nobody objected. And she's expecting you. Suicide will not get you out of this. She can reach you in the afterlife. So just get it over with.
